Irresponsibly Sweet.

“We bbrown-shugga-tap-stickerelieve this Special Ale is Something Unique. Feeding Brown Cane Sugar to otherwise Cultured Brewery Yeast is a’kin to feeding Raw Shark to your Gerbil. It is unlikely to ever occur in nature without Human Intervention. And it looks weird besides. But it has happened and now it’s too late.”

Lagunitas Brewmonster Jeremy Marshall says Brown Shugga’ Ale is really just an “epic fail,” …but we prefer to call it an “epic result.” Thanks to a failed attempt at brewing a batch of Olde GnarlyWine back in 1997, this “damn good beer” was born. Watch him tell the story in the video below!
